About the Ghana Patient Safety Forum

The Ghana Patient Safety Forum is a national convening dedicated to the quality and safety of care delivered across Ghana's health system. Held each year on World Patient Safety Day, the Forum brings clinicians, patients, policymakers, trainees, and partners into one room to move the conversation from commitment to practice. The 2026 edition takes place on 17 September 2026 at The Bank Hospital in Accra, with virtual access available to delegates across the country and the wider sub-region.

The app that supports the Forum serves as the single home for everything a delegate or visitor needs. It introduces the event and its themes, profiles the speakers, sets out the agenda, and handles registration for both in-person and virtual attendance. It also hosts the call for abstracts, allowing researchers to submit their work for consideration by the scientific committee, and provides a partners page for the institutions that make the Forum possible. An organiser dashboard gives the secretariat a live view of registrations as they come in.

The Forum is built for a broad audience: doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, allied health professionals, medical and nursing students, hospital administrators, patient advocates, and the patients and families whose experiences sit at the centre of every safety conversation. Whether you attend in person in Accra or join online through RxAccredit |Microsoft Teams and YouTube, the programme is designed to be practical, evidence-based, and relevant to the realities of delivering care in Ghana.

The Forum is organised by the International Student Surgical Network Ghana LBG (InciSioN Ghana), a non-profit organisation based in Accra that works to strengthen surgical care, patient safety, and health systems across the country.
